मीठे वचन बोलने वाली, आस्तिक, सेवा भाव रखने वाली, क्षमाशील, दानशील, बुद्धिमान, दयावान और कर्तव्यों का पालन पूर्ण निष्ठा से करने वाली लक्ष्मी का रूप होती है।

महिलाएं घर की संपत्ति अर्थात लक्ष्मी का रूप होती हैं। जिस घर में महिलाओं का सम्मान नहीं होता मां लक्ष्मी उस घर से अपना नाता तोड़ लेती हैं। शास्त्रों में वर्णित है की घर की महिला सर्वगुण संपन्न हो तो समस्याओं को उस घर में स्थान नहीं मिलता। वह मकान में प्रेम तथा जीवंतता का संचार कर उसे घर बनाती हैं। भाग्यशाली होते हैं ऐसे घर जिन घरों की महिलाओं में कुछ विशेष गुण विद्यमान होते हैं। उस घर में लक्ष्मी को बुलाने के लिए निमंत्रण नहीं देना होता बल्कि उस घर की महिला ही लक्ष्मी का रूप होती हैं।

सनातन धर्म में पत्नी को अर्द्धागिनी क्यों कहा जाता है?

शास्त्रों में एक गुणी पत्नी के ये प्रकार बताए गए है। हिन्दू मान्यताओं के अनुसार पत्नी पति के शरीर का आधा हिस्सा होती है और साथ ही लक्ष्मी स्वरूप भी होती है। कई शास्त्रों में इसको लेकर अलग-अलग वर्णन किए गये हैं।

पत्नी बाए अंग की अधिकारी होती है

शिव का अर्धनारीश्वर शरीर इस बात का प्रतीक है

हिन्दू शास्त्रों में पत्नी को वामांगी कहा गया है। जिसका अर्थ होता है बाएं अंग का अधिकारी। इसलिए पुरुष के शरीर का बायां हिस्सा स्त्री का माना जाता है। इसका कारण ये है कि भगवान शिव के बाएं अंग से स्त्री की उत्पत्ति हुई है, जिसका प्रतीक शिव का अर्धनारीश्वर शरीर है। यही कारण है कि हस्तरेखा विज्ञान की कुछ पुस्तकों में पुरुष के दाएं हाथ से पुरुष की और बाएं हाथ से स्त्री की स्थिति देखने की बात कही गयी है। शास्त्रों में कहा गया है कि स्त्री पुरुष की वामांगी होती है। इसलिए सोते समय और सभा में सिंदूरदान द्विरागमन आशीर्वाद ग्रहण करते समय और भोजन के समय स्त्री को पति के बायीं ओर रहना चाहिए। इससे शुभ फल की प्राप्ति होती। ऐसा शास्त्रों में वर्णित किया गया है।

कन्यादान के समय स्त्री को इस तरफ रहना चाहिए

वामांगी होने के बावजूद भी कुछ कामों में स्त्री को दायीं ओर रहने की बात शास्त्र कहता है। शास्त्रों में बताया गया है कि कन्यादान विवाह यज्ञकर्म, जातकर्म नामकरण और अन्न प्राशन के समय पत्नी को पति के दायीं ओर बैठना चाहिए। पत्नी के पति के दाएं या बाएं बैठने संबंधी इस मान्यता के पीछे तर्क ये है कि जो कर्म सांसारिक होते हैं। उसमें पत्नी पति के दायीं ओर बैठती है। क्योंकि ये कर्म स्त्री प्रधान कर्म माने जाते हैं। यज्ञ कन्यादान विवाह ये सभी पारलौकिक कार्य माने जाते हैं। इन्हें पुरुष प्रधान माना गया है। इसलिए इन कर्मों में पत्नी के दायीं ओर बैठने के नियम हैं।

 स्त्री को इस वजह से अर्धांगिनी कहा जाता है

सनातन धर्म में पत्नी को पति की वामांगी कहा गया है। यानी कि पति के शरीर का बांया हिस्सा, इसके अलावा पत्नी को पति की अर्द्धांगिनी भी कहा जाता है। जिसका अर्थ है पत्नी पति के शरीर का आधा अंग होती है। दोनों शब्दों का सार एक ही है। जिसके अनुसार पत्नी के बिना पति अधूरा है। पत्नी ही पति के जीवन को पूरा करती है। उसे खुशहाली प्रदान करती है। उसके परिवार का ख्याल रखती है। और उसे सभी सुख प्रदान करती है जिसके वो योग्य है। पति-पत्नी का रिश्ता दुनिया भर में बेहद महत्वपूर्ण बताया गया है। चाहे सोसाइटी कैसी भी हो। लोग कितने ही मॉर्डर्न क्यों ना हो जायें, लेकिन पति पत्नी के रिश्ते का रूप वही रहता है। प्यार और आपसी समझ से बना हुआ।

महाभारत में भीष्म पितामह ने ये कही ये बात

हिन्दू धर्म के प्रसिद्ध ग्रंथ महाभारत में भी पति पत्नी के महत्वपूर्ण रिश्ते के बारे में काफी कुछ कहा गया है। भीष्म पितामह ने कहा था कि पत्नी को सदैव प्रसन्न रखना चाहिये, क्योंकि उसी से वंश की वृद्धि होती है। वो घर की लक्ष्मी है। यदि लक्ष्मी प्रसन्न होगी तभी घर में खुशियां आयेंगी। इसके अलावा भी अनेक धार्मिक ग्रंथों में पत्नी के गुणों के बारे में विस्तारपूर्वक बताया गया है।

गरुण पुराण में पत्नी की ये व्याख्या की गई है

आज हम आपको गरूड पुराण, जिसे लोक प्रचलित भाषा में गृहस्थों के कल्याण की पुराण भी कहा गया है। उसमें उल्लिखित पत्नी के कुछ गुणों की संक्षिप्त व्याख्या करेंगे। गरुण पुराण में पत्नी के जिन गुणों के बारे में बताया गया है उसके अनुसार जिस व्यक्ति की पत्नी में ये गुण हों। उसे स्वयं को भाग्यशाली समझना चाहिये। कहते हैं पत्नी के सुख के मामले में देवराज इंद्र अति भाग्यशाली थे, इसलिये गरुण पुराण के तथ्य यही कहते हैं।

“सा भार्या या गृहे दक्षा सा भार्या या प्रियंवदा। सा भार्या या पतिप्राणा सा भार्या या पतिव्रता।“

गरुण पुराण में पत्नी के गुणों को समझने वाला एक श्लोक मिलता है। यानी जो पत्नी गृहकार्य में दक्ष है। जो प्रियवादिनी है। जिसके पति ही प्राण हैं। जो पतिपरायणा है। वास्तव में वही पत्नी है। गृह कार्य में दक्ष से तात्पर्य है। वो पत्नी जो घर के काम काज संभालने वाली हो। घर के सदस्यों का आदर सम्मान करती हो। बड़े से लेकर छोटों का भी ख्याल रखती हो। जो पत्नी घर के सभी कार्य जैसे भोजन बनाना साफ सफाई करना घर को सजाना कपड़े बर्तन आदि साफ करना जैसे कार्य करती हो। वो एक गुणी पत्नी कहलाती है। इसके अलावा बच्चों की जिम्मेदारी ठीक से निभाना। घर आये अतिथियों का मान सम्मान करना। कम संसाधनों में भी गृहस्थी को अच्छे से चलाने वाली पत्नी गरुण पुराण के अनुसार गुणी कहलाती है। ऐसी पत्नी हमेशा ही अपने पति की प्रिय होती है।

इसी वजह से प्रियवादिनी कहा गया है

प्रियवादिनी से तात्पर्य है मीठा बोलने वाली पत्नी। आज के जमाने में जहां स्वतंत्र स्वभाव और तेज तर्रार बोलने वाली पत्नियां भी है। जो नहीं जानती कि किस समय किस से कैसे बात करनी चाहिये। इसलिए गरुण पुराण में दिए गए निर्देशों के अनुसार अपने पति से सदैव संयमित भाषा में बात करने वाली धीरे व प्रेमपूर्वक बोलने वाली पत्नी ही गुणी पत्नी होती है।

पत्नी द्वारा इस प्रकार से बात करने पर पति भी उसकी बात को ध्यान से सुनता है। उसके इच्छाओं को पूरा करने की कोशिश करता है। परंतु केवल पति ही नहीं घर के अन्य सभी सदस्यों या फिर परिवार से जुड़े सभी लोगों से भी संयम से बात करने वाली स्त्री एक गुणी पत्नी कहलाती है। ऐसी स्त्री जिस घर में हो वहां कलह और दुर्भाग्य कभी नहीं आता।

क्या है शिव को प्रसन्न करने वाले मंत्र ॐ का रहस्य, क्यों किया जाता है इसका उच्चारण

ऐसे गुण जिसकी पत्नी में हो वो देवराज इंद्र की तरह होता है

पतिपरायणा यानी पति की हर बात मानने वाली पत्नी गरुण पुराण के अनुसार एक गुणी पत्नी होती है। जो पत्नी अपने पति को ही सब कुछ मानती हो। उसे देवता के समान मानती हो। कभी भी अपने पति के बारे में बुरा ना सोचती हो। वो पत्नी गुणी है। विवाह के बाद एक स्त्री ना केवल एक पुरुष की पत्नी बनकर नये घर में प्रवेश करती है। वो उस नये घर की बहु भी कहलाती है। उस घर के लोगों और संस्कारों से उसका एक गहरा रिश्ता बन जाता है। इसलिए शादी के बाद नए लोगों से जुड़े रीति रिवाज को स्वीकारना ही स्त्री की जिम्मेदारी है। इसके अलावा एक पत्नी को एक विशेष प्रकार के धर्म का भी पालन करना होता है। विवाह के पश्चात उसका सबसे पहला धर्म होता है कि वो अपने पति और परिवार के हित में सोचे। ऐसा कोई काम न करे जिससे पति या परिवार का अहित हो। गरुण पुराण के अनुसार जो पत्नी प्रतिदिन स्नान कर पति के लिए सजती संवरती है। तथा सभी मंगल चिह्नों से युक्त है। जो निरंतर अपने धर्म का पालन करती है तथा अपने पति का हित सोचती है। उसे ही सच्चे अर्थों में पत्नी मानना चाहिये। जिसकी पत्नी में ये सभी गुण हों उसे स्वयं को देवराज इंद्र ही समझना चाहिये।

The one who speaks sweet words, the believer, service minded, forgiving, charitable, intelligent, kind and performing the duties with full devotion is the form of Lakshmi.

Women are the wealth of the house i.e. the form of Lakshmi.  In the house where women are not respected, Maa Lakshmi breaks her ties with that house.  It is described in the scriptures that if the woman of the house is full of all virtues, then problems do not find place in that house.  She makes the house a home by infusing love and liveliness into it.  Lucky are such houses whose women have some special qualities.  There is no invitation to invite Lakshmi to that house, but the woman of that house is the form of Lakshmi.

Why is the wife called Ardaghini in Sanatan Dharma?

These types of a virtuous wife have been told in the scriptures.  According to Hindu beliefs, the wife is half of the husband's body and is also a form of Lakshmi.  Different descriptions have been given about this in many scriptures.

In Hindu scriptures, the wife has been called Vamangi.  Which means the officer of the left organ.  That's why the left part of a man's body is considered to be that of a woman.  The reason for this is that a woman originated from the left part of Lord Shiva, whose symbol is the Ardhanarishwar body of Shiva.  This is the reason why in some books of palmistry, it has been told to look at the position of a man with the right hand of a man and the condition of a woman with the left hand.  It has been said in the scriptures that a woman is the left hand of a man.  That's why the woman should stay on the left side of the husband while sleeping and while taking Sindoordan Dwiragaman blessings in the assembly and while eating.  This would have resulted in auspicious results.  This has been described in the scriptures.

At the time of Kanyadaan, the woman should stay on this side

In spite of being left-handed, in some works, the scriptures say that the woman should stay on the right side.  It has been told in the scriptures that the wife should sit on the right side of the husband at the time of Kanyadan marriage, Yajnakarma, Jatakarma Namkaran and Anna Prashan.  The reasoning behind this belief that the wife should sit on the right or left of the husband is that the deeds are worldly.  In it the wife sits on the right side of the husband.  Because these deeds are considered to be feminine deeds.  Yagya, Kanyadan marriage, all these are considered to be otherworldly works.  They are considered male dominated.  That's why there are rules to sit on the right side of the wife in these rituals.

A woman is called Ardhangini because of this.

In Sanatan Dharma, the wife has been called the left hand of the husband.  That is, the left part of the husband's body, apart from this, the wife is also called the husband's better half.  Which means the wife is half of the husband's body.  The essence of both words is the same.  According to which the husband is incomplete without the wife.  It is the wife who completes the life of the husband.  gives him happiness.  takes care of his family.  And gives him all the happiness that he deserves.  The relationship between husband and wife has been said to be very important all over the world.  No matter what the society is like.  No matter how modern people become, but the form of relationship between husband and wife remains the same.  Made of love and mutual understanding.

Bhishma Pitamah said this in Mahabharata

A lot has been said about the important relationship between husband and wife in Mahabharata, the famous text of Hindu religion.  Bhishma Pitamah had said that the wife should always be kept happy, because that is the reason for the growth of the dynasty.  She is the Lakshmi of the house.  If Lakshmi is happy then only happiness will come in the house.  Apart from this, the qualities of a wife have been explained in detail in many religious texts.

This is the explanation of wife in Garuda Purana

Today we present to you the Garuda Purana, which is also known as the Purana for the welfare of householders in popular language.  Will briefly explain some of the qualities of a wife mentioned in it.  According to the qualities of a wife mentioned in Garuda Purana, the person who has these qualities in his wife.  He should consider himself lucky.  It is said that Devraj Indra was very fortunate in the matter of wife's happiness, that's why the facts of Garuda Purana say the same.

“Sa Bharya or Grihe Daksha Sa Bharya or Priyamvada.  Sa Bharya or Patiprana Sa Bharya or Pativrata.

There is a verse in Garuda Purana which explains the qualities of a wife.  Means the wife who is skilled in housework.  Who is Priyavadini.  Whose husband is life.  The one who is husbandly.  In fact she is the wife.  Means proficient in housework.  The wife who takes care of the household chores.  You respect the members of the house.  You take care of the elders as well as the younger ones.  The wife who does all the household chores like cooking food, cleaning, decorating the house, cleaning clothes, utensils etc.  She is called a virtuous wife.  Apart from this, fulfilling the responsibility of the children properly.  To respect the guests who came to the house.  According to Garuda Purana, a wife who runs the household well even with less resources is called virtuous.  Such a wife is always dear to her husband.

That is why it is called Priyavadini

Priyavadini means sweet speaking wife.  In today's era, where there are independent nature and fast speaking wives.  Who does not know how to talk to whom at what time.  That's why according to the instructions given in Garuda Purana, a wife who always speaks softly and lovingly to her husband in a restrained language is a virtuous wife.

When the wife talks in this way, the husband also listens to her carefully.  Tries to fulfill her wishes.  But not only the husband, but also a woman who talks to all the other members of the house or all the people related to the family with restraint, is called a virtuous wife.  Where there is such a woman, discord and misfortune never comes there.

According to Garuda Purana, a virtuous wife is a wife who obeys her husband in every way.  The wife who considers her husband as everything.  You consider him like a deity.  Never think bad about your husband.  That wife is virtuous.  After marriage, a woman not only enters a new house by becoming the wife of a man.  She is also called the daughter-in-law of that new house.  He develops a deep relationship with the people and rituals of that house.  That's why it is the responsibility of a woman to accept the customs associated with new people after marriage.  Apart from this, a wife also has to follow a special type of religion.  After marriage, her first duty is to think for the welfare of her husband and family.  Do not do any such work which harms the husband or the family.  According to the Garuda Purana, the wife who bathes daily and beautifies herself for her husband.  And all are associated with Mars signs.  The one who constantly follows her religion and thinks about the welfare of her husband.  She should be considered as wife in true sense.  The one whose wife has all these qualities should consider himself as Devraj Indra.
