हिंदू धर्म में जब भी किसी मांगलिक कार्य का आयोजन किया जाता है, तो हाथ में कलावा जरूर बंधा जाता है। लाल और पीले रंग का ये धागा हिंदू धर्म में खास महत्व रखता है। कलावा को आमतौर पर मौली भी कहा जाता है। मंदिरों में भी दर्शन के बाद हाथ में कलावा बांधने की परंपरा रही है। वहीं जब आप किसी पूजन या अनुष्ठान में बैठते हैं तो पंडित जी द्वारा आपके हाथ में कलावा या मौली बांधा जाता है। हिंदू धर्म में कलावा बांधने की परंपरा सदियों से चली आ रही है। सिर्फ हाथ की कलाई पर ही नहीं बल्कि किसी भी नई वस्तु को खरीदने या नई चीज को घर पर लाने के बाद उसमें भी कलावा बांधा जाता है। लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं कि ये कलावा आखिर है क्या और इसे बांधे जाने के पीछे क्या कारण हैं? चलिए आज जानते हैं कि कलावा क्यों बांधा जाता है और इसका क्या महत्व है..

कलाई में क्यों बांधते हैं कलावा

धार्मिक मान्यता है कि पूजा-अर्चना के बाद विधिवत बांधे गए कलावे में कई प्रकार की सकारात्मक ऊर्जा या दैवीय शक्तियां होती हैं। हाथ में कलावा बांधने से सकारात्मक ऊर्जा मिलती है। 

कलावा को रक्षा सूत्र भी कहा जाता है, क्योंकि ये निगेटिव एनर्जी और बुरी नजर से हमारी रक्षा करती हैं। कई लोगों की मान्यता ये भी है कि अलग-अलग रंग का कलावा बांधने का संबंध अलग-अलग ग्रहों से होता है। 

मान्यता के अनुसार, पीले रंग का कलावा बांधने से बृहस्पति, लाल रंग से मंगल और काले कलावे से शनि ग्रह मजबूत होते हैं। 

वैज्ञानिक फायदे

कलावा बांधने के वैज्ञानिक फायदे भी हैं। मनुष्य की कलाई में कई तरह की नसें होती हैं और कलावा बांधने से इन नसों पर नियंत्रण रहता है। इसकी वजह से ब्लड प्रेशर, ब्लड शुगर, हृदय गति पर भी कंट्रोल रहता है।

हाथ, पैर, कमर और गले में मौली बांधने से आपको स्वास्थ्य लाभ भी होता है, जैसे कि इससे त्रिदोष यानि वात, पित्त और कफ का संतुलन बना रहता है। इसके बांधने से रक्तचाप, हृदयाघात, मधुमेह और लकवा जैसे गंभीर बीमारियों से बचाव करने में भी लाभ होता है।

क्या है रक्षा सूत्र का महत्व

माना जाता है कि असुरों के दानवीर राजा बलि की अमरता के लिए भगवान वामन ने उनकी कलाई पर रक्षा-सूत्र बांधे थे। रक्षाबंधन का प्रतीक माने दाने वाले रक्षा-सूत्र को माता लक्ष्मी ने राजा बलि के हाथों में अपने पति की रक्षा के लिए ये बंधन बांधा था।

रक्षा सूत्र यानी मौली का अर्थ

जानकारों के अनुसार 'मौली' का अर्थ होता 'सबसे ऊपर', क्योंकि मौली को कलाई में बांधते हैं इसलिए इसे कलावा भी कहते हैं। वैसे इसका वैदिक नाम उप मणिबंध भी है। कहा जाता है कि शंकर भगवान के सिर पर चन्द्रमा हैं, यही कारण है कि उन्हें चंद्रमौली भी कहा जाता है। मौली कच्चे धागे से बनती है, जिसमें मूलत: 3 रंग के धागे (लाल, पीला और हरा)का प्रयोग होता है, 

लेकिन कभी-कभी ये 5 धागों की भी बनाई जाती है, जिसमें नीले और सफेद रंग के धागों का भी प्रयोग किया जाता है, यनी इसक सीधा मतलब ये बताया जाता है कि 3 यानी कि त्रिदेव के नाम पर और 5 यानी की पंचदेव के नाम पर इस बांधा जाता है। शास्त्रों के अनुसार मौली बांधने से त्रिदेव- ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, महेश और तीनों देवियों- लक्ष्मी, पार्वती और सरस्वती की कृपा बरसती है।

कैसे बांधें

पुरुष और अविवाहित युवतियों को इसे दाएं हाथ में बांधना चाहिए, जबकि विवाहित महिलाओं को बाएं हाथ में बांधना चाहिए। इसे बंधवाते समय आपकी मुट्ठी बंधी होनी चाहिए और आपका दूसरा हाथ सिर पर रखा होना चाहिए। मौली बांधने के लिए किसा खास स्थान की जरूरत नहीं होती है, इसे कहीं पर भी बांध सकते है, लेकिन इतना ध्यान रहे कि इस सूत्र को केवल 3 बार ही लपेटते हैं। हालांकि अब लोग इसे फैशन के तौर पर भी बांधते है, ऐसे में लोग इसे कई बार लपेटते हैं।

भगवान का मिलता है आशीर्वाद

शास्त्रों में हाथों पर कलावा बांधने के बारे में विस्तार से बताया है, जिसके अनुसार कलावा बांधने से त्रिवेदों और तीनों महादेवियों की कृपा प्राप्त होती है। ये महादेवियां हैं- महालक्ष्मी, जिनकी कृपा से धन संपत्ति आती है। दूसरी महादेवी हैं सरस्वती, जिनकी कृपा से विद्या बुद्धि प्राप्त होती है और तीसरी देवी हैं मां काली, इनकी कृपा से मनुष्य बल और शांति प्राप्त करता है। कलावा बाँधने की प्रथा तबसे चली आ रही है जब दानवीर राजा बलि की अमरता के लिए श्री विष्णु अवतार वामन भगवान ने उनकी कलाई पर रक्षासूत्र बाँधा था। 

आज भी पंडित पूजा के बाद कलावा बांधते वक्त इस चमत्कारी मंत्र का उच्चारण करते हैं ।

 येन बद्धो बली राजा दानवेन्द्रो महाबल:।

 तेन त्वामनुबध्नामि रक्षे मा चल मा चल।।

It is believed that for the immortality of Bali, the demon king of the demons, Lord Vamana had tied a protective thread on his wrist.  Mother Lakshmi had tied this bond in the hands of King Bali to protect her husband, which was considered a symbol of Rakshabandhan.

Meaning of Defense Sutra i.e. Molly

According to experts, 'Mauli' means 'topmost', because Molly is tied on the wrist, hence it is also called Kalawa.  By the way, its Vedic name is also Upa Manibandha.  It is said that Lord Shankar is the moon on his head, which is why he is also called Chandramouli.  Mauli is made from raw thread, in which basically 3 colors of thread (red, yellow and green) are used,

But sometimes it is also made of 5 threads, in which blue and white threads are also used, that is, it is told directly that 3 i.e. in the name of Tridev and 5 i.e. in the name of Panchdev.  But this is tied.  According to the scriptures, by tying Mauli, the blessings of the three gods – Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh and the three goddesses – Lakshmi, Parvati and Saraswati showers.

God's blessing

In the scriptures, it is explained in detail about tying Kalava on the hands, according to which, by tying Kalava one gets the blessings of Trivedas and the three Mahadevis.  These are Mahadevis- Mahalakshmi, by whose grace wealth and wealth come.  The second Mahadevi is Saraswati, by whose grace one attains knowledge and wisdom and the third goddess is Maa Kali, by her grace man attains strength and peace.  The practice of tying Kalava has been going on since the time when Lord Vishnu incarnated Vamana tied a rakshasutra on his wrist for the immortality of the demon king Bali.

Even today, Pandits chant this miraculous mantra while tying Kalava after worship.
