What is gem?

रत्नों का हमारे जीवन में बहुत अधिक महत्त्व है। यह प्रकृति प्रदत्त वह अनमोल निधि है,जिसको धारण करके हम अपने भाग्य की बाधा को काफी हद तक समाप्त कर सकते हैं। रत्न सुवासित,चित्ताकर्षक,चिरस्थायी व दुर्लभ होने के साथ-साथ अपने अद्भुत प्रभाव के कारण भी मनुष्य को अपने मोहपाश में बांधे हुए हैं।रत्न कोई भी हो,यह आपके लिए शुभ व कल्याणकारी ही होते हैं। जैसे हीरा शुक्र को अनुकूल बनाने के लिए होता है,तो नीलम शनि को। इसी प्रकार माणिक रत्न सूर्य के प्रभाव को कई गुना बढ़ाकर उत्तम फलदायी होता है। मोती जहां मन को शांति प्रदान करता है,तो मूंगा ऊष्णता प्रदान करता है। इसके पहनने से साहस में वृद्धि होती है।

क्या है रत्न?

जब विभिन्न तत्त्व रासायनिक प्रक्रिया के द्वारा आपस में मिलते हैं तब रत्न बनते हैं। जैसे स्फटिक,मणिक,क्रिस्टल आदि। इसी रासायनिक प्रक्रिया के बाद तत्त्व आपस में एकजुट होकर विशिष्ट प्रकार के चमकदार आभायुक्त पत्थर बन जाते हैं तथा इनमें कई अद्भुत गुणों का प्रभाव भी समायोजित हो जाता है। यह निर्मित तत्त्व ही रत्न कहलाता है,जो कि अपने रंग,रूप व गुणों के कारण मनुष्यों को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित करता है। रत्नों की उत्पत्ति के विषय में एक अन्य कथा भी ग्रंथों में आती है। देवता और दैत्यों ने जब समुद्र मंथन किया तो उसमें से14 रत्न पदार्थ निकले। इससे निकले अमृत को लेकर देव और दानवों में संघर्ष हुआ। अमृत का स्वर्ण कलश असुरराज लेकर भाग खड़े हुए। इस छीना-झपटी में अमृत की कुछ बूंदें जहां-जहां गिरीं वहां सूर्य की किरणों द्वारा सूखकर वे अमृत कण प्रकृति की रज में मिश्रित होकर विविध प्रकार के रत्नों में परिवर्तित हो गए। रत्न चौरासी माने गए हैं। नौ प्रमुख रत्न तथा शेष उपरत्न माने जाते हैं।

पुराणों में कुछ ऐसे मणि रत्नों का वर्णन भी पाया जाता है,जो पृथ्वी पर नहीं पाए जाते। ऐसा माना जाता है कि चिंतामणि को स्वयं ब्रह्मा जी धारण करते हैं। कौस्तुभ मणि को नारायण धारण करते हैं। रुद्रमणि को भगवान शंकर धारण करते हैं। स्यमंतक मणि को इंद्र देव धारण करते हैं। पाताल लोक भी मणियों की आभा से हर समय प्रकाशित रहता है। इन सब मणियों पर सर्पराज वासुकी का अधिकार रहता है। प्रमुख मणियां 9 मानी जाती हैं- घृत मणि, तैल मणि, भीष्मक मणि,उपलक मणि,स्फटिक मणि,पारस मणि,उलूक मणि,लाजावर्त मणि,मासर मणि। इन मणियों के संबंध में कई बातें प्रचलित हैं। घृतमणि की माला धारण कराने से बच्चों को नजर से बचाया जा सकता है। इस मणि को धारण करने से लक्ष्मी कभी नहीं रूठती। तैल मणि को धारण करने से बल-पौरुष की वृद्धि होती है। भीष्मक मणि धन-धान्य की वृद्धि में सहायक है।

रत्न की पहचान

रत्नों को खरीदते समय उनके रंगों पर भी ध्यान देना चाहिए। संपूर्ण रत्न का रंग एक होना चाहिए। फीके और मंद रंग वाले रत्न की अपेक्षा झलकदार और आभायुक्त रत्न अधिक गुणवत्ता वाले और मूल्यवान होते हैं। इसका तात्पर्य यह नहीं है कि रत्न का रंग बहुत अधिक गहरा होना चाहिए। अत्यधिक गहरे रंग भी रत्नों की गुणवत्ता को कम करते हैं। रंगों से भी असली और नकली रत्नों की पहचान होती है,जिसकी जांच स्पेक्ट्रोमस्कोप द्वारा की जाती है। पारदर्शिता रत्नों की खास विशेषता है। जो रत्न जितना पारदर्शी होता है,उतना ही उच्च स्तर का माना जाता है और उसी के अनुरूप उसकी कीमत भी होती है। अपवाद के रूप में मूंगा ऐसा रत्न है जो अपारदर्शी होते हुए भी मूल्यवान होता है। रत्नों की पारदर्शिता में अंतर प्राप्ति स्थान के आधार पर होता है। अलग-अलग स्थान से प्राप्त रत्नों में झीरम की मात्रा में अंतर के आधार पर पारदर्शिता में विभेद होता है।

रत्नों की प्रकृति

कुछ रत्न बहुत ही उत्कट प्रभाव वाले होते हैं। कारण यह है कि इनके अंदर उग्र विकिरण क्षमता होती है। अत: इन्हें पहनने से पहले इनका रासायनिक परीक्षण आवश्यक है। जैसे- हीरा,नीलम,लहसुनिया,मकरंद,वज्रनख आदि। यदि यह नग तराश दिए गए हैं,तो इनकी विकिरण क्षमता का नाश हो जाता है। ये प्रतिष्ठापरक वस्तु (स्टेटस सिंबल) या सौंदर्य प्रसाधन की वस्तु बन कर रह जाते हैं। इनका रासायनिक या ज्योतिषीय प्रभाव विनष्ट हो जाता है।कुछ परिस्थितियों में ये भयंकर हानि का कारण बन जाते हैं। जैसे- यदि तराशा हुआ हीरा किसी ने धारण किया है तथा कुंडली में पांचवें,नौवें या लग्न में गुरु का संबंध किसी भी तरह राहु से होता है,तो उसकी संतान कुल परंपरा से दूर मान-मर्यादा एवं अपनी वंश-कुल की इज्जत डुबाने वाली व्यभिचारिणी हो जाएगी।

रत्नों के फायदे व नुकसान

रत्न प्रकृति को परमात्मा से और ग्रह नक्षत्रों को भाग्य से जोड़ते हैं। कुछ लोग इस पर अंध विश्वास करते हैं कुछ लोग इस पर पूर्ण विश्वास करते हैं। इसी विश्वास और अंधविश्वास का परिणाम हमारे जीवन में फायदे और नुकसान का होता है। सही राशिफल के अनुसार, सही पूजा विधि कर धारण किया हुआ रत्न आकाश की ऊंचाइयों तक ले जाता है वहीं गलत रत्न गलत राशि के अनुसार संपूर्ण विधि संघ धारणा करने पर भारी नुकसान उठाने पड़ सकते हैं।

Gemstones have a lot of importance in our life.  This is the priceless fund given by nature, by wearing which we can eliminate the obstacle of our destiny to a great extent.  Gems are fragrant, enchanting, everlasting and rare, as well as due to their wonderful effect, human beings are bound in their infatuation. Whatever be the gems, they are auspicious and welfare for you.  Like diamond is meant to make Venus favorable, so sapphire to Saturn.  In the same way, ruby ​​is very beneficial by increasing the effect of the sun manifold.  While pearl provides peace to the mind, coral provides warmth.  Wearing it increases courage.

What is gem?

Gemstones are formed when different elements combine with each other through a chemical process.  Like rhinestones, pearls, crystals etc.  After this chemical process, the elements unite with each other and become a stone with a special kind of shiny luster and the effect of many wonderful properties is also adjusted in them.  This created element is called a gem, which attracts human beings towards it due to its colour, form and qualities.  Another story about the origin of gems also comes in the texts.  When the gods and demons churned the ocean, 14 gems came out of it.  There was a conflict between the gods and the demons over the nectar that came out of it.  Asuraraj ran away with the golden urn of nectar.  Wherever a few drops of nectar fell in this snag, those nectar particles were mixed with the raj of nature and turned into various types of gems.  The gems are considered to be eighty-four.  Nine are considered to be the main gems and the rest are considered to be uparatnas.

The description of some such gems and gems is also found in the Puranas, which are not found on earth.  It is believed that Lord Brahma himself holds Chintamani.  Narayan wears the Kaustubh gem.  Lord Shankar wears Rudramani.  Lord Indra wears the Syamantaka gem.  Hades is also illuminated by the aura of the gems at all times.  All these gems are owned by the serpent Vasuki.  The major gems are considered to be Ghrit Mani, Oil Mani, Bhishmak Mani, Upalaka Mani, Rhinestone Mani, Paras Mani, Uluk Mani, Lajavarta Mani, Masar Mani.  Many things are popular about these gems.  Children can be saved from sight by wearing a garland of Ghritmani.  Lakshmi never gets upset by wearing this gem.  Wearing Oil Mani increases strength and masculinity.  Bhishmak gem is helpful in the growth of wealth.

While buying gems one should also pay attention to their colors.  The color of the entire gemstone should be the same.  Glossy and lustrous gemstones are of higher quality and valuable than pale and dull colored gemstones.  This does not mean that the color of the gemstone should be very dark.  Too dark colors also reduce the quality of gems.  Colors also identify genuine and fake gems, which are examined by a spectroscope.  Transparency is a special feature of gems.  The more transparent the gemstone is, the higher it is considered to be of high standard and accordingly its price is also.  Coral, as an exception, is a gem that, although opaque, is valuable.  The difference in the transparency of gems is based on the place of receipt.  There is a difference in transparency based on the difference in the quantity of ziram in the gems obtained from different places.
